Zachary W. Helfrich, 19, of Baldwinsville, passed away unexpectedly, Friday, August 16, 2019. Zach was a graduate of C. W. Baker High School in Baldwinsville. Zach was planning to attend Virginia Tech as a member of the Corps of Cadets. He was active with the Civil Air Patrol and had achieved the very rigorous 3rd Class Ranger status. Zach loved the outdoors and nature and expressed it through hiking, fishing, and hunting. He was especially fond of his two dogs, Bodie and Grace.



Surviving Zach are his parents, Robert C. Helfrich and Karen A. Helfrich; and his sister; Maternal grandparents, Eric (Peggy) Stefanko ; Paternal grandmother, Pat Helfrich; Aunt and Uncles, Amy (Mark) Dundon and Alfred (Sheri) Helfrich.



Calling hours are 4:00 – 7:00pm Tuesday, August 20th at the Falardeau Funeral Home, 93 Downer St., Baldwinsville. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Civil Air Patrol NY 408, 40 Airport Dr., Fulton, NY 13069.
