William H. McArdell, Sr., 79, of Phoenix, passed away Tuesday, April 24, 2012 at St. Josephs Hospital. He was a native of Baldwinsville and retired from Crucible Steel in 1983. Bill enjoyed camping and was an avid bowler and fisherman. He was predeceased by his first wife, Leona in 1983, his son, William "Crash", Jr. in 2008 and stepdaughter Ruth Smith in 2007.

Survivors: his wife, Beverly J.; two daughters, Rose (James) Hopp of Warners and Sheryle (Scott) Taylor of Baldwinsville; his son, Earl "Peanut" McArdell of Syracuse; two sisters, Margaret Falter of Plainville and Marie Bates of Baldwinsville; two brothers, John McArdell of Baldwinsville and Walter McArdell of Fulton; four step-children; and several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Services: 1:00pm Friday, April 27, 2012 at Falardeau Funeral Home, 93 Downer St., Baldwinsville. Calling hours are 11am to 1pm Friday, April 27, 2012, prior to the service.
