William D. "Bill" Hosey, 79, of Clay, NY, passed away on Sunday at Crouse Hospital after a long illness. Born in Kingston, NY, he graduated from Southern New Hampshire University and began his lengthy career in insurance with the Hartford where he met his wife.

Bill went on to become Vice President of Hanover Insurance, National Grange and the Concord Group.

Upon his retirement, he became a realtor with Hunt Real Estate. Bill was an avid deer hunter, fisherman, and held a private pilot license.

He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Martha (Goodfellow) Hosey; son, Michael; brother, Gary Hosey; and his sister, Winnie Sokolowski.

Services will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in William's name to the Bureau of Wildlife or the Crouse Health Foundation for their compassionate care of Bill in his last days.
