Obituary

William A. Hook, 86, of Baldwinsville passed away Friday, January 8, 2016, at Crouse Hospital. He was born in Syracuse. and lived in Baldwinsville most of his life.

Bill was a US Navy veteran of the Korean War, serving on the LST 859 Lafayette County as a corpsman when they did an amphibious landing at Inchon. He retired after 38 years as a Tool & Die Maker from General Motors in Syracuse. Bill was a member and past commander of the VFW Post 153 and a member of the American Legion Post 113.

Survivors: his wife of 62 years, Norma Kinning Hook; two sons, James (Cindy) Hook of Tecumseh, MI and Robert Hook of Baldwinsville; and a grandson, Tristan Hook.

Services: 11:00 am Wednesday, January 13, 2016, at St. Mark''s Lutheran Church , 2840 Cold Springs Road, Baldwinsville. Calling hours are 4-7pm Tuesday, January 12, 2016, at the Falardeau Funeral Home, 93 Downer St., Baldwinsville, NY.

Contributions may be made to the Humane Association of CNY, 4915 ½ W. Taft Road, Liverpool, NY 13088.
