William F. Falter, 81 of Plainville passed away unexpectedly Monday at St. Joseph's Hospital. Bill was born on November 23, 1935 in Cicero the son of the late Leroy and Louise Prahl Falter. He served in the US Navy Air Force in the Blimps ZP-3 and Patrol Squadron VP-7. Bill retired from Chrysler after 38 years. He was a former member of the Plainville Fire Department. Bill enjoyed bowling, hunting, and playing cards with his family. He was predeceased by his daughter Barbara Nolan in 2007 and his son in law Todd Regan in October.
Survived by his wife of 58 years Margaret McArdell Falter and their children: Betty (John) Traufler, Beverly Regan, Billy Falter, John Falter, Rachel (Paul) Schroeder, Adam (Kira) Falter and Patrick (Cathy) Falter; brothers: Tom (Milly) Falter and Joe (Jean) Falter; 22 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday, December 1 from 4-6pm at Falardeau Funeral Home, 93 Downer Street, Baldwinsville with a funeral service at 6pm after the calling hours.
In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to a charity of choice.
