November 4, 1917 – May 9, 2005
William Middleton Christensen, 87, of Baldwinsville died Monday, May 9, 2005 at his home. He was a graduate of Appalachian State Teachers College in North Carolina. Bill retired from GE in 1981 an employee of 24 years. During his lifetime he was active with Meals-On-Wheels, past co-president of the PTA with his wife and Scouting was one of his passions. He was an Army veteran of WW II serving as a corpsman and was a member of VFW Post #153 serving as Quartermaster. Bill was affectionately known as "the Mayor of Mercer Street".
Survivors: his wife of 54 years, Betty Christensen; two daughters, Elva (Gregory) Massaro of Baldwinsville and Beth Christensen of Boston; two sons, Mark (Luanne) of Baldwinsville and Gary (Bonnie) of Camillus; four grandchildren, Morgan, Gregory, Lindsey, and Renee; a sister-in-law, Marjorie Hunter and her dear family of Lansdale, PA; several nieces and nephews.
Services: 8:00pm Wednesday, May 11, 2005 at Falardeau Funeral Home, Baldwinsville. Burial at the convenience of the family in Onondaga County Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Syracuse. Calling hours are 4-8pm Wednesday, May 11, 2005 at the funeral home, 93 Downer Street.
