Virginia Franke Kissmer, 70, of Baldwinsville died Saturday, October 21, 2006 at University Hospital. She was born in Brooklyn, was a 1954 graduate of Baker High School in Baldwinsville and received a BOCES degree in computer technology in 1980. She was employed 16 years with WCNY. Virginia was predeceased by two sisters, Ellen in 1984 and Doris in 2002.

Survivors: four sons, Ernest "Jack" Sochia of Central Square, Thomas Kissmer of Syracuse, Arthur Kissmer and James Kissmer both of Ronkonkoma, NY; a brother, Arthur W. Franke of Baldwinsville; 7 grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Services: 11:00 am Monday, October 23, 2006 at Falardeau Funeral Home, Baldwinsville. Burial at a later date in Riverview Cemetery. Calling hours are 4-7pm Sunday, October 22, 2006 at the funeral home, 93 Downer Street.
