Virginia R. Oppelton Hammond, 96, of Baldwinsville died Saturday at Crouse Hospital. She was born in Baldwinsville. She worked for Titcomb's store, Baldwinsville. She was a member of First United Methodist Church, Baldwinsville and Order of the Eastern Star Chapter 218, Baldwinsville. Her husband of 58 years, Ward B., died in 1985, and her son, Donald A. died Nov. 18.

Survivors: A son, Ward F. of Baldwinsville; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren.

Services: Private. Burial, Riverview Cemetery. No calling hours. Falardeau Funeral Home, Baldwinsville, has arrangements.
