IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Victor David
Gloo
March 18, 2016 – April 17, 2025
Victor Gloo, age 9, died in his mother's arms on April 17, 2025. He was at home surrounded by his family.
Victor was born in Baldwinsville, NY to Aaron and Veronica Gloo. Victor loved his family, especially his older brother, Isaac. He liked to say he was born at home because he was so excited to meet all of us that he couldn't wait until we got to the hospital. As he grew, he continued to enjoy time with Isaac as well as all of 'the cousins.' Trenton, Colby and Erika were older, but he was the eldest of the 2016 crew made up of him, Cadyn, and Brooke and later Corbin in 2017.
Victor loved playing Legos. He and Isaac spent hours building, rebuilding, and making improvements to their creations. He enjoyed Pokémon and sweets of all kinds. Victor also adored his stuffed animals. He loved to swim in the pool he received from Make-A-Wish CNY; he would spend as much time in the water as he was allowed during the summer. Then he would lay on his towel in the sunshine and eat sun warmed blackberries until his fingers turned purple. Victor was a member of a great class of students at St. Mary's Academy. He and his classmates got along very well and they were supportive as he faced treatments causing baldness and new scars, as well as needing to use a wheelchair.
Victor loved the Adirondacks and was fortunate to have many opportunities to go there during his lifetime. Thanksgiving was often at his Thibado grandparents' home in Eagle Bay, which we also used as our base in the winter for sledding and snowmobiling, and to kick-off the Christmas season. Most weekends during summer were spent at Limekiln Lake with the Gloo family, and as he got older, Victor would run up and down the beach or go tubing with the other kids from nearby camps.
