Timothy "Tim" McCarthy, age 75, passed away peacefully on October 31st, with his family by his side. He was a devoted husband, loving father, proud grandfather, and a man whose greatest accomplishment was the family he built and the lives he touched along the way.

Born and raised in East Syracuse, Tim's roots ran deep in the community he called home.

Tim was a fearless protector and provider who would go to the ends of the earth to make sure his family was safe, cared for, and happy. He never hesitated to stand up for the people he loved and would do whatever it took to protect them. His love was shown through his actions, his sacrifices, and his unwavering commitment to his loved ones.

An avid outdoorsman, Tim found happiness in hunting, fishing, boating, and spending time in the Adirondacks. Some of his favorite moments were spent playing softball, participating in pitch tournaments, and tending to campfires, while enjoying a glass of red wine at his camp on Cross Lake.

He took immense pride in being a devoted husband to his lovely wife Marsha, with whom he spent 50 years and raised two wonderful children. Being a grandfather was one of his greatest joys. Tim loved creating memories with his grandchildren and being a role model they could look up to. The traditions he created, the time he spent with them, and the lessons he passed down will remain part of his family's story for generations.

He is survived by his loving wife, Marsha; his daughter, Shana(Nabeel); his son Jarrod(Sarah); his seven grandchildren, Sawyer, Ben, Delaney, Owen, Taylor, Kayla, Leah; and by his siblings, Kristina, Cindy, Shannon, Michelle, Bridget and Gary. Tim was predeceased by his parents, Mary & Leo; and his brothers, Daniel and Dean.

At Tim's wish, there will be no services.
