Thomas F. Markert, 77, of Baldwinsville, passed away Saturday, April 9, 2011 at his home. He was a native of Syracuse and was a graduate of CBA. He attended Niagara University, was in the Naval Air Corp. and was a 50-year communicant of St. Mary's Church. He worked for G.E. for 36 years and retired in 1992 in order to care for his beloved wife Jane. He was pre-deceased by his son, Carl in 1982 and his wife, Jane in 1998.

Survivors: one daughter, Elaine C. (Brad) Devereaux of Fayetteville; six sons, Thomas F. (Kathy) of Voorheesville, NY, Gary J. of McMurray, PA, Douglas J. (Jae Lee) of Centerville, VA, Alan C. (Fulvia) of Cicero, Paul L. of Rockville, MD and Joseph E. (Maureen) of East Syracuse; a sister, Marilyn (Sam) Nappi of Liverpool; 15 grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Services: 9:00am Wednesday, April 13, 2011 at St. Mary's Church, Baldwinsville. Burial, Assumption Cemetery, Syracuse. Calling hours are 4-7pm Tuesday, April 12, 2011 at Falardeau Funeral Home, 93 Downer St., Baldwinsville.
