IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Thomas F.
Fredenburg
August 17, 1948 – April 15, 2019
Thomas Frank Fredenburg, 70, of Baldwinsville, died unexpectedly on April 15, 2019. Tom was predeceased by his parents Francis and Elaine Fredenburg. He is survived by his high school sweetheart and life long love of 49 years, Marilou, daughter Heidi (Chris) Fabian, son Bradley, son Tim (Sarah) Fredenburg, sister Judy (Tom) Hopkins, granddaughters Josie, Mollie, and Lorelei Fabian, and a large and loving extended family.
Tom was a 1966 graduate of the first class of the combined East Syracuse Minoa High School. He went on to graduate from Lemoyne College with a bachelor's degree in Labor Relations and Arbitration. Tom was a lifelong learner and continually expanded his expertise in the insurance industry earning numerous designations including Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter, Associate in Risk Management, and Certified Insurance Counselor.
Tom was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather, and friend to everyone. Tom loved cars, especially sports cars, and at last count had owned over 50 cars in his lifetime. He worked as an insurance industry executive for his entire career, helping many individuals and companies protect the things they valued and along the way formed many wonderful and lasting friendships. Tom retired in 2017 and enjoyed spending his free time with family and friends, working around the house, and making his daily trip to Wegmans and Delta Sonic. Tom never hesitated to help relatives and friends with guidance and advice and to share a great story or two. His sense of humor, as well as his smile and distinctive laugh, "ah ah," will live on in the hearts of all who were lucky enough to have known him.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the EMTs from NAVAC and all of the medical staff at Upstate University for their heroic and steadfast effort to save our beloved Tom.
