IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Thomas Patrick
Carney
April 19, 1948 – December 27, 2016
Thomas Patrick Carney has suddenly passed away Tuesday, December 27, 2016. He was a very special husband and a wonderful father. And we do not have the words to express how much he will be missed. Those who knew Tom would smile when they thought about him. He was a really funny guy with a quick sense of humor. While he could be gruff at times, Tom had a heart of gold.
Tom grew up on the farm in Vernon, New York. After graduating from LeMoyne College in Syracuse, Tom went to work for the State of New York where he was a real property appraiser. From there he was the Assessor for the Town of Cicero. For over 30 years, Tom has been the President of his real estate appraisal business, Carney Appraisal Consultants.
Tom was predeceased by his parents, Bill and Betty Carney of Vernon, NY, his brother Bill, also of Vernon and his beloved chocolate lab, Harry. He is survived by his wife, Kerry and his children Cheryl and Patrick and his treasured hound, Sammie; two brothers, Paul and Les and many nieces and nephews.
The best shuffleboard player in Phoenix, Tom was also a great pitch player. He's in Heaven now playing shuffleboard and organizing pitch games. Tom (aka, "Sundance"), we love you!
