Terrill D. "Terry" Root, Sr., 66, of Baldwinsville died Sunday, April 25, 2004 at home after a long courageous battle surrounded by loved ones. He was predeceased by his father Connell Root, mother Winifred Root, and sisters Nancy Root and Martha Gryziec. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps drum and bugle corps. He was a member from inception of the Syracuse Brigadiers and when he could no longer march and play he remained active with the alumni and would work the bingo until September 02. Prior to the Brigadiers he was with the Syracuse Marauders as director of public relations and he drove their bus. He was also a past member of the Baldwinsville American Legion Blue Knights.

Survivors: He is survived by son Terrill D. (Terry) Root Jr.,Baldwinsville, daughters Nancy Cryan of Texas, and Roberta Root, of New York; sister Connie Devendorf, brothers, David Root, and William Root, 10 grandchildren and a great-grandson.

Services: 3:00pm Wednesday, April 28, 2004 at Falardeau Funeral Home, Baldwinsville. Burial at the convenience of the family in Riverview Cemetery. Calling hours are 1-3pm Wednesday, April 28, 2004 at the funeral home, 93 Downer St.
