Susan Flaherty, 81, passed away February 19 at St. Elizabeth Health Center in Utica. She lived in the Syracuse area most of her life and worked for 40 years in the nursing home field. When Susan was younger, she loved bowling, traveling and fishing with her family at Wolf Island, Canada. Until her recent move to Utica, she was an active member of the Camden United Methodist Church. Susan was feisty, yet kind and friendly at the same time. Her legacy will be a reminder to all to live a simple, happy life.

Susan is predeceased by her parents, Frederick H. Flaherty II and Elizabeth Gere Russell, and her devoted brother, Frederick Flaherty III.

Susan is survived by four loving nephews and nieces; sister-in-law, Kathy Flaherty; and brother, Peter Flaherty.

A Celebration of Life will be held 11:00 am Saturday, March 6 at Falardeau Funeral Home, 93 Downer St, Baldwinsville followed by a private burial.
