Stergeos G. Arvantides, 93, of Baldwinsville, passed away Tuesday, July 1, at Elderwood of Liverpool. Born in Clifton Springs, NY, a veteran of the Korean conflict, he was a General Dentist, practicing in Baldwinsville for 57 years. He was involved in his Baldwinsville community: Kiwanis, Pop Warner Football and instrumental in the development of the NorthWest Y.  He was a Fellow in the American College of Dentistry, Pierre Fauchard, and the International College of Dentistry; past President of the 5th District Dental Society and the Upper NY Dental Seminar.

While active in both his community and profession, at each meeting, there was always a group of friends and colleagues sitting around him – no one could tell a better joke or story then Sterge.  It didn't matter how many times you heard the joke (and there were many), his delivery would make you laugh.

Surviving, his wife of 36 years, Anne Marie; children, Mary (Ken) Davis, George "Chip" (Amy), Paul (Cathy), Kathryn (Kevin) Rettig, and Geoffrey (Maggie) Zbikowski; grandchildren Gavin (Sarah), Clive, John, Luke, Sam, Lee and Rose; sisters, Zoe Stamatis and Anne Bantuvanis; several nieces and nephews.

A funeral Mass will be held on Monday, July 14, 2025, at 10 a.m. in St. Sophia's Greek Orthodox Church, 325 Waring Rd., Syracuse. Burial will follow at Clifton Springs Village Cemetery.

A sincere thank you to our "family" at Elderwood, especially to Paula and Agnes, and so many more who cared for Sterge. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Alzeihmer's Association of CNY.
