Shirley J. Couse Hardter, 76, of Baldwinsville passed away Tuesday, August 12, 2014, at Crouse Hospital. She was born in Syracuse and resided in the area all of her life. Shirley retired from the
City of Syracuse where she was employed for many years. She especially enjoyed her family, friends, pets and gardening.

Shirley was predeceased by her sons, Paul E. Hardter and Edward J. Hardter, Jr.

Survivors: her daughters, Debbie (Jeffrey) Hollington and Laurie (Richard) Long; 8 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; her sisters, Barbara Warren (Henry), Judie (Bud) Caswell and Terry (Joe) Kapilla; her brother, William (Cassie) Couse; several nieces and nephews and a long time neighbor, Michael Santorum, whom she loved as a son.

Services: 10:00 am Saturday, August 16, 2014, at Falardeau Funeral Home, Inc., Baldwinsville. Burial in Riverview Cemetery, Baldwinsville. Calling hours are 4-7pm Friday, August 15, 2014, at the funeral home, 93 Downer Street.
