Seymour C. Ratter, 97, of Baldwinsville died Friday at the Syracuse Home Association, Baldwinsville. Born in New York City, he lived in Baldwinsville most of his life. He retired from General Electric Co. He was a member of Baldwinsville First Baptist Church, where he was an honorary deacon, former trustee, moderator and Sunday school teacher. He was scoutmaster of Boy Scout Troop 248 for 50 years and a member of the Beauchamp Historical Society and McHarrie's Legacy, both in Baldwinsville. His first wife, Harriet B., died in 1987.
Survivors: His wife of 13 years, the former Agnes Rogers; a stepdaughter, Muriel B. Magill of Liverpool; a brother, Roland of Niagara Falls; three grandchildren; a great-grandchild.

Services: 11 a.m. Tuesday in Baldwinsville First Baptist Church. Burial, Greenlawn Memorial Park. Calling hours, 7 to 9 p.m. today and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at Falardeau Funeral Home, 93 Downer St., Baldwinsville.
