IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Scot C.
Sanschagrin
July 20, 1964 – January 19, 2026
Scot C. Sanschagrin, 61, of Central Square, passed away on January 19, 2026. He was born July 20, 1964, in Fulton, NY, the son of Charles and Lena Sanschagrin.
Scot worked for many years in industrial maintenance, most recently with Butler Disposal. He was the kind of person who could look at something broken and figure out how to fix it - and he took pride in doing the job right.
Outside of work, Scot loved being outdoors. He enjoyed fishing and kayaking, and he could often be found metal detecting, always hopeful for the next great find - and more than once turning up hidden treasures, including pieces of jewelry. In recent years, he also began to explore woodworking, taking on new projects and enjoying the satisfaction of creating something with his own hands. Scot was a true tinkerer at heart - curious, determined, and always working on something.
Scot is survived by his daughters, Chelsy Sanschagrin, Carol LiDrazzah, and Lily Sanschagrin; his parents, Charles and Lena Sanschagrin; his sister, Jacalyn (Terry Marren) Sanschagrin; his brother, Kristian Sanschagrin; and his six beloved grandchildren.
Calling hours will be held on Saturday, January 24, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, with a funeral service to follow at 1:00 PM.
Scot will be remembered for his warm heart, his love of the outdoors, and the many lives he touched.
