Ruth M. Millard Whiteley, 90, of Baldwinsville died Tuesday, August 30, 2005 at her home. She was born in Tully and had resided in Baldwinsville since 1950. Ruth was a 1937 graduate of Cortland Normal School and in 1950 from Oswego State Teachers College. She retired in 1981 from Roxboro Elementary School in Mattydale and had previously taught 21 years in Solvay. Ruth was a member of the Hillview Community Baptist Church and the Female Charitable Society both in Baldwinsville. She was a member of the Tully Area Historical Society, NYS Retired Teachers, and NYS United Teachers Retired. Ruth was predeceased by her husband John in 2001 and her son Duane in 2003.

Survivors: a daughter-in-law , Ann Whiteley; a granddaughter, Tammy McCabe; and two grandchildren all of New York City.

Services: 1:00 pm Saturday, September 3, 2005 at Falardeau Funeral Home, Inc. Baldwinsville. Burial in Fayetteville Cemetery. A calling hour will be from noon - 1:00pm Saturday prior to the services at the funeral home, 93 Downer Street.
