The family of Ruth Johns would like to announce the peaceful end of her 100 years on earth. Ruth joined her husband Brad, her son and daughter-in-law Tom and Sue, and many family members during the evening of January 15, 2023. Ruth has been visited and cared for by her family at home as she wished. We would like to express our thanks to PACE for the many wonderful, caring, concerned, people who made it possible for her to be in her home enjoying her garden, the golfers, and various activities.

Ruth was born to Isabel and Leslie Davis in Kansas City, KS. She was the second of six girls. Eventually the family moved to Berea, OH, where Ruth and Brad met at Ohio University. After marrying, Brad served the Pacific in World War II and Ruth contributed to the war effort by working in a bomber plant. After his return they eventually moved to the Syracuse, New York area where they remained, raising Sandy, Michael, and Tom. She enjoyed time playing golf, knitting, bowling, cards, and gardening. Her greatest loves and joys were her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and a great great granddaughter, her life will continue through them.

100 years is a celebration of a life well lived, those who will carry on for are her daughter Sandra and son Michael; grandchildren, Alexa (Andrew) Crawford, Peter Johns, Miles Johns, Heather Slavik, Eric Johns, Michael Joshua (Tara) Johns; great grandchildren, Sydney, Brandon, Lyndsey, Nate, Benjamin, Owen, Wyatt, Ethan, Carys, Oliver, Scott, and Nick; great great-granddaughter Amelia Rose.

Private services will be held for family and close friends. Ruth will be laid to rest with Brad at St. Mary's Cemetery in Baldwinsville in the spring.
