Ruth Ann Doran, 97 of Baldwinsville, passed away peacefully on September 23, 2024 at Syracuse Home at McHarrie Place.

Ruth was born to the late John and Anna Doran and was a life long resident of Baldwinsville as well as life time communicant of St. Mary's Church.

Ruth received her Bachelor's Degree in Education from the University of Albany in 1948. She continued her passion of teaching through obtaining a Masters Degree in Business Education from Syracuse University. Her first teaching assignment was in Moravia Schools where she taught business for 8 years, then continued teaching business at the Syracuse City Schools for 28 more years until she retired.

Ruth was so loved and liked by all who met her and knew her. She was passionate, loving, giving, kind and intelligent as well as having a great sense of humor. She loved her family and friends unconditionally and especially enjoyed a close relationship with her brother whom she lived with her whole life, until his passing earlier this year.

Ruth devoted much of her time to supporting various charitable organizations such as Sisters of Christian Charity, American Cancer Society, VA, and local churches and schools.

Ruth is survived by her cousin, Paul Reeves and god-daughter Donna Banks.

A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, September 27, 2024 at 10:00 am at St. Mary's Church, 47 Syracuse St., Baldwinsville.  Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Baldwinsville.
