Rose E. Benz LaPorte, 83, of Stiles Road, Van Buren, died Monday at Crouse Hospital. Born in Syracuse, she lived in the Syracuse area most of her life. She worked many years in the accounting office of Dey Bros., Syracuse. She was a communicant of St. Augustine's Church, Baldwinsville, and a former member of Women of Moose Chapter 649 and Canton Woods Senior Center, both in Baldwinsville. Her husband of 60 years, Donald P., died in 2000.

Survivors: A son, Richard J. ''Rick'' of Liverpool; two daughters, Judy A. Harrington of Liverpool and Donna L. Haas of Baldwinsville; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren.

Services: 9:15 a.m. Thursday at Falardeau Funeral Home and 10 a.m. in St. Augustine's Church. Burial, St. Mary's Cemetery, DeWitt. Calling hours, 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, 93 Downer St., Baldwinsville.
