Romeo F. Astafan Jr, 61, of Baldwinsville died Wednesday at Veterans Medical Center. He was born and raised in Carthage. Romeo was a combat veteran of the Vietnam War. After his service in the military he led a dual career in security and law enforcement.

Romeo is survived by his wife, Jennifer Sullivan Astafan, two sons; Michael J. and Aaron F. Astafan, two daughters; Sydney K. Astafan and Suhail A. (Joseph) D'Acquisto, grandson; Angelo J. D'Acquisto. He is also survived by his mother; Juliette Astafan, brother; Michael F. (Jane) Astafan, and many nieces and nephews.

Services are private, calling hours are Noon to 3pm Sunday September 8, 2013 at Falardeau Funeral Home, Inc. 93 Downer Street Baldwinsville. Burial, Riverview Cemetery, Baldwinsville.
