Rolf D. Ziemer, 94, of Baldwinsville, passed away Friday at Syracuse Home at McHarrie Place. Born in Koslin, Germany, Rolf was a research coordinator at Syracuse University for many years.

He was predeceased by his wife, Ruth in 2020. Ruth sold Rolf his home in Baldwinsville and they fell into a lasting love. He gave her a life she never dreamed of, took her around the world, always encouraging her to learn. They enjoyed taking long walks at the Beaver Lake Nature Center, reading and landscaping their home.

Surviving are his step-daughter, Brenda (Marc) Hooper of East Lansing, MI and several nieces and nephews in Germany.

Rolf will be missed for his energy, sense of humor and joy of life.
