Roger D. Stormes, 87, of Syracuse, passed away Saturday, May 4. Born in Syracuse, Roger was a graduate of New Berlin High School.

He was owner of Roger Stormes Freight Agency for many years and was previously employed at Muench-Kreuzer and with Syracuse Transit. Roger was an attendee of Christ Community Church and served as a Hospital Corpsman in the US Navy.

Roger enjoyed traveling, camping, SU sports, connecting with friends and family on Facebook and his sweets. He was an avid car enthusiast and enjoyed photography.

He was predeceased by his parents, Mary and Willard Stormes; siblings, Robert, Richard, Willard Jr., and Janet Kanaley.

Surviving are his wife of 56 years the former Donna Litts; children, Scott Stormes, Jacksonville, FL, Sean Stormes, Kansas City, KS, Amy (Brent) Kremenek, Dryden, and Chris Stormes, Camillus; four grandchildren, Alan Stormes, Alyssa Stormes, Ben Kremenek, and Hailey Kremenek; cousin John (Sue) Davis, Endicott; and many nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be held Saturday, June 1, from 10 a.m. to noon at the Falardeau Funeral Home, 93 Downer St., Baldwinsville. Services will follow at noon at the funeral home. Burial will be private.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Crouse Hospital Foundation.
