Roger K. Monica Jr., 75, of Phoenix, passed away Wednesday at home surrounded by his family.  Born in Syracuse, he was a painter and owned Monica Brothers Painting in Baldwinsville for many years.  Roger was a talented woodworker and enjoyed spending time in his workshop.  He loved to ride his bicycle, car shows, fishing, and a good restaurant buffet.

He was predeceased by his parents, Roger and Bertha Monica Sr and nephew, Daniel Monica Jr.

Roger is survived by his wife of 39 years, Sally; son, Brian (Heather) Monica; daughter, Michelle (Jeff) Taft; stepson, David Hagenbuch; step daughter, Laura (Jason) Peeso; brother, Daniel Monica Sr; sisters, Sherrie Monica and Ginger Avery; 13 grandchildren, Abigail and Zack Monica, Madeline and Eli Taft, Allan (Lindsey) White, Vanessa Claflin, Frankie (Emily) Claflin, Sarah (Tim) Wilson, Jacob (Gabby) Hagenbuch, Joshua Hagenbuch, Jase Hagenbuch; 2 great-granddaughters; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

There will be no calling hours.  A celebration of Roger's life will be held at a later date.
