Roberta Wavercak Smith, 68, of Morgan Rd., Memphis, died Saturday, December 11, 2004 at St. Josephs Hospital after a brief illness at her home. Roberta worked for the General Electric Company many years ago and had retired after 25 years from the Camillus Cutlery Co. in 1998. She loved spending time with her family and her house on the river. She enjoyed the simple pleasures in life, doing crossword puzzles with her husband, sitting on her deck, watching her bird feeders, basketball and golf. Roberta was a devoted mother and will be greatly missed by her loving family. She was predeceased by her first husband, Michael J. Wavercak in 1984.
Survivors: her husband, George M. Smith of 19 years; three daughters, Linda A. Rickert of Tully, Laurie G. Farrell of Jordan and Tammy Sheffield of Claremont, NC; three sons, Michael P. of Memphis, Mark A. of Auburn and Timothy A. of Baldwinsville; a step-daughter, Kimberly Smith of Calgary, Alberta; a step-son, Bradly Smith of Auburn; three sisters, Barbara Rhode of Ocala, FL, Lois Baker of Baldwinsville and Virginia Fowler-Melfi of Syracuse; one brother, Paul Fowler of Syracuse; 21 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Services: 11:00am Wednesday, December 15, 2004 at Falardeau Funeral Home, Baldwinsville. Burial will be at Greenlawn Memorial Park, Warners. Calling hours are 2-4 and 6-8pm Tuesday, December 14, 2004 at the funeral home, 93 Downer St.
