R. Frances Holland, 95, of Baldwinsville, passed away Thursday. Born in Syracuse, she was employed as a secretary for Smith & Caffery Steel Co. for many years.

Frances was an avid college basketball fan and enjoyed watching birds on her birdfeeder. Above all, her family was the most important part of her life.

She was predeceased by her husband, James M. Holland Sr.; grandson Lynn T. Holland Jr.; and brother, John T. Housel.

Surviving are her daughter, Kim (Leonard) Zimmer, of Syracuse; sons, James M. Holland Jr. of Maine and Lynn T. Holland Sr., Baldwinsville; 8 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; 7 great-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, March 31 at 12:00 p.m. at the Falardeau Funeral Home, 93 Downer St., Baldwinsville.

Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery, Baldwinsville.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Syracuse Home at McHarrie Place.
