Robert E. Thomas, formerly of Clay, passed away at home with his wife and loving family by his side, Saturday, February 8, 2003. Robert "Bob" was born in Memphis, NY on January 4, 1922. Following retirement in 1978 after 33 years of service with the NY Telephone Co., Syracuse, he and his wife, Carolyn relocated to St. Cloud, FL where they resided for several years and recently moved to Dade City, FL. Brothers, Lloyd, David, Nelson, Ed and sister, Vera, predeceased him.

Surviving are his wife of 56 years, Carolyn Navin Thomas; son and daughter-in-law, Jerry and Kerry Thomas of Grenwich, NY; three daughters and sons-in-law, Joan and Craig Sotherden of Salem, VA, Joette and Joel Youkhanna of Valencia, CA , Joy and Keith Bunch of Tampa, FL; eight grandchildren whom he enjoyed and loved very much. All will miss his wonderful, caring spirit and sence of humor.
