Scudder
November 21, 1920 – February 11, 2009
Robert L. Scudder, 88, of Baldwinsville passed away in Arizona. Born in Fulton, he worked for Curtis-Wright in Buffalo before enlisting in the Navy during WWII. He served on the USS Whitney as a Patternmaker Second Class. After being discharged, he graduated from the University of Buffalo and went to work for the New York Telephone Co. He retired as Construction Supervisor after 35 years of service. He enjoyed traveling, gardening, hunting, fishing and his retirement home in Florida. Bob was not only a loving and dedicated family man, but he touched so many people in his journey through life. He will be remembered fondly by all and will truly be missed. He was pre-deceased by his wife of 66 years, Lois in 2007.
The family would like to extend their gratitude for the exceptional care provided by Doina Farcas and family.
Survivors: three children, Cheryl (Russ) Fragoman of FL, Leigh (Sandy) Scudder of NY and Marsha Fay (Christopher Newman) of AZ; three grandchildren, Jeffrey Fragoman of FL, Joseph Fay of NY and Nicholas Fragoman of FL.
The family will receive family and friends from 4-7pm Tuesday, February 17, 2009 at Falardeau Funeral Home, 93 Downer St., Baldwinsville. Funeral services will be held at 10am Wednesday, February 18, 2009 at Immanuel Methodist Church, 303 Kasson Rd., Camillus, NY. Burial at Woodlawn Cemetery, Syracuse.
Contributions in lieu of flowers, may be made to the SPCA.
