Robert "Bob" W. Myllymaki, 71, of Baldwinsville, NY and Grand Island, FL passed away May 4, 2016 in Tavares, FL. He was predeceased by his mother Geraldyne Myllymaki and his stepmother Mary Myllymaki. He is survived by his loving wife of 27 years, Teddi Myllymaki, his father William Myllymaki and his sister Christine Reddy (Tony) and many nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews. He attended Clarkson College of Technology and was in the Chemical Engineering Program. He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam Era spending most of his time in Germany.
Bob had a 40 year career as a natural products chemist with Bristol-Myers Squibb in Syracuse, NY and Wallingford, CT. Bob loved antique boats and boating and was a Charter Member and past President of the Finger Lakes Chapter (FLC) of the Antique and Classic Boat Society, and was a member of the FLC Boat Show Planning Committee. Over the years Bob and his friend Jim traveled the antique boat show circuit making many friends and memories. He was an active member of the Baldwinsville Lion's Club.
Bob was an avid golfer and belonged to a number of leagues over the years. He especially enjoyed the "Annual Lannon Open", a family golf outing. He loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them. Bob will be missed not only by family, but also by the many friends he made and the people whose lives he touched.
A mass will be held on Saturday, May 21, 2016 at St. Mary's Church in Baldwinsville at 10am. Calling hours will be held on Friday from 4-7pm at Falardeau Funeral Home, 93 Downer Street, Baldwinsville.
