Robert A. Ecker, 89, died Tuesday, March 13 at the VA Medical Center. He was born in Syracuse to Arthur and Mary Weeks Ecker. He was a US Army Veteran and served in the Korean War. Robert retired from Carrier Corporation after 30 years and then worked for Taber Motors for over 20 years. He was an active volunteer for St. Mary's Church and a member of the Knights of Columbus. Robert served on the Baldwinsville Board of Education for 15 years and was President for 2 years.

He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Aileen Mitchell Ecker; children, Stephen Ecker, Sheila Ecker, Sean Ecker, Stacie Mays, Claudia Wilson, and Gavin Ecker; brother, Jack Ecker; and 4 grandchildren.

Calling hours are 4-7 pm Friday, March 16 at Falardeau Funeral Home, 93 Downer St, Baldwinsville. A Funeral Mass is 10 am Saturday, March 17 at St. Mary's Church Baldwinsville.
