Robert M. Bubniak, 79, passed away Monday at St. Joseph's Hospital. He was a veteran of the US Army. Robert retired after 30 years as a supervisor in the Onondaga County Department of Social Services. He was very active with Boy Scouts of America, was a Silver Beaver Recipient, Vigil Honor Member of the Order of the Arrow and was a founding member of the Interlakes District "Onagers". Bob was a National Weather Service Volunteer and enjoyed reporting precipitation measurements and local weather. He liked to travel all across the United States and go to Syracuse cultural festivals. But, most of all, he loved spending time with his grandchildren and organizing events and local day trips with the kids.

Bob is survived by his sons, Gregory (Kathleen) and Jesse (Tina) Bubniak; grandchildren, Thomas, Patrick, William, Nathan, and Alyssa Bubniak; brothers, Gerald (Susan), Tim, and Michael (Sophie) Bubniak; and former wife, Sharon Bubniak.

Calling hours are 4-7 pm Thursday, March 14 at Falardeau Funeral Home, 93 Downer St, Baldwinsville. A Funeral Mass will be 10:30 am Friday, March 15 at St. Augustine's Church, Baldwinsville.
