Robert J. Bloom, Sr., 84, of Baldwinsville died Monday, June 28, 2004 at Community-General Hospital. He was born in Syracuse and lived in the area all his life. Robert retired after 36 years as a Biochemist at SUNY School Of Medicine. He was a graduate of Syracuse University. A decorated WW II veteran of the Army Air Corps and was a POW in Germany. Robert was a member of Grace Episcopal Church, Baldwinsville. He was an avid gardener, woodworker and was a former church organist.

Survivors: his wife of 50 years, Grace Benedict Bloom; a daughter, Grace L. B. Cotte of Bayport, NY; a son, Robert J. Bloom, Jr. of Liverpool; five grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Services: 10:00 am Thursday July 1, 2004 at Grace Episcopal Church Baldwinsville,. Burial, Onondaga County Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Syracuse. There will be no calling hours.
