IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Rita D
Jacobs
October 31, 1937 – November 25, 2023
Rita Dawn Jacobs of Baldwinsville, passed away at her home surrounded by her loving husband Kenneth and their family on November 25, 2023.
In her youth she sang in concerts with The Nightengales, became a nurse from Jamison Memorial Hospital. She meet Ken Jacobs, the love of her life, at the Dairybar in New Castle, PA and the two have been dancing ever since. Their song was "Could I have this dance," by Anne Murray as they slowed danced and jitterbugged through life.
She always took care of everyone she met starting as a stay at home mom for her four children, working for years at C. W. Baker High school, and finishing her career as Executive secretary at K J Electric.
Throughout her life she became "mom" to everyone she met and welcomed all into her home. She was a caring person that always saw the good in people. Her hobbies were baking, gardening and following their racehorses with her husband. She had a very special bond with her family, especially the grandkids, texting "grandma jokes", pictures and videos. It made her day and she made ours.
Rita is predeceased by her parents, Burt R. and Meda (Robinson) McDeavitt; son, Bobby Jacobs; son-in-law, Raymond Honsinger III; and her siblings, Bud, Ricky, Lois, and Bonnie.
She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Kenneth E. Jacobs; daughters, Lorraine (Jeffrey) Lawrence, Carol Honsinger; son, Kenneth (Annmarie) Jacobs; daughter-in-law, Theresa Jacobs; 14 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
