Rick Yakawiak, age 26, of Baldwinsville, N.Y. the beloved son of Lori and John Yakawiak passed away suddenly on Saturday August 4, 2012. Born August 9th 1985 at St. Joseph's Hospital in Syracuse, Rick lived in Clay, NY before moving to Baldwinsville in 1996. Rick attended Baldwinsville Schools as well as Onondaga Community College and DeVry University. Rick worked in several restaurants in the Syracuse area as a food server. Rick had a great heart and anyone fortunate enough to meet him understood his love for life, his family, and friends. Rick was a devout Yankees fan and enjoyed life to the fullest, although he was with us for such a brief time.

Rick is survived by his Mother, Father, Grandmother (Louise Majerus), Grandfather (Al Majerus) and his Grandmother (Barbara Marzullo) as well as several aunts, uncles and cousins who love him dearly.

Services: Calling Hours for Rick will be held at the South Gate Ministries on 127 East Main Street Waterville, N.Y. 13480 at 11:00 AM, followed by services performed by his uncle at 12:00 PM on Wednesday August 8th 2012. The burial will be a private ceremony in Carver, MA with his parents and grandparents.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Rick's Name can be made to the Central New York Chapters of the S.P.C.A and Humane Society as Rick was a devoted animal lover.
