Obituary

Richard A. Lamb, 89, of Phoenix, NY passed away Sunday, October 5, 2008 at St. Joseph's Hospital. He was born in New York City and has lived in Phoenix since 1989. He was a Merchant Marine Veteran of WWII and also a member of the Civilian Conservation Corps. Richard joined the NYC police department after the war and retired in 1980 as Police Captain. He was pre-deceased by his son Richard A. Lamb, Jr. in April 2004.

Survivors: his wife of 63 years, Margaret Macken Lamb; two daughters Eileen (Alan) Corlett of Baldwinsville, NY and Margaret "Peggy" Lamb of Austin, TX; two grandchildren, Catherine Corlett (Gregory) Nearpass of Rochester, NY and Kevin Corlett of Baldwinsville; a sister, Anna Matthews and a brother Edward Lamb, both of New York City; and several nieces and nephews.

Calling hours are 5-8pm Tuesday, October 7, 2008 at Falardeau Funeral Home, 93 Downer St., Baldwinsville. Additional calling hours and services will take place in Rockville Centre, NY. Burial, Holy Rood Cemetery, Westbury, NY.
