Richard L. Hill, 84, of Baldwinsville, passed away Thursday, September 10, 2009 at home. He was born in Syracuse and has lived in the Baldwinsville area most of his life. He was a Navy veteran of WWII and retired from Crouse Hinds after 40 years. Richard was a very active member of the Community Wesleyan Church in Baldwinsville and was also an avid fisherman and baseball fan.

Survivors: his wife of 60 years, Ruth C.; a daughter, Susan (Rod) Best of New Richmond, OH; five sons, Ron (Jeri) Hill of Jordan, Charles (Ruth) Hill of Houghton, NY, Gregory (Julie) Hill of Plainville, John (Lorri) Hill of Cato, and Stephen Hill of Marion, IN; 8 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Memorial Services: 4:00pm Sunday, September 13, 2009 at the Community Wesleyan Church, Baldwinsville. Burial will be private. Calling hours are 4-7pm Saturday and 3-4pm Sunday at the church, 112 Downer St., prior to the service.
