Richard Paul DiFiore, 69, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 1, 2026, with his family by his side. Rick was born in Utica, NY, a son of the late Rosario and Jennie (Ciccone) DiFiore. Rick obtained his associate's degree in civil engineering and spent almost four decades working in the environmental consulting business. He founded and led the construction division of Blasland, Bouck & Lee, known as BBL Environmental Services, and later retired as a senior vice president at Arcadis. Rick enjoyed golf and rooting for the New York Yankees and New York Giants. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with family and friends, especially his six beloved grandchildren.

Rick is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Mary (Greco) DiFiore; two sons, Mike (Liz) DiFiore and Mark (Jennie) DiFiore; six grandchildren, Jake, Catie, Charlotte, Allie, Leigh and Emma; two siblings, Bob (Cheryl) DiFiore and Jan (Jerry) Zarnoch; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

A Mass in celebration of Rick's life will be held on October 8, 2026, at 10 a.m. at St. Mary of the Assumption Church, 47 Syracuse Street, Baldwinsville, NY 13027. Friends and family may call on October 7, 2026 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Falardeau Funeral Home, 93 Downer Street, Baldwinsville, NY 13027.
