Obituary

Raymond M. Roberts, 85, of Meadow Street, Baldwinsville, died Friday at Pontiac Nursing Home, Oswego. He was born in Detroit. He retired in 1979 after 40 years at Crucible Steel Corp. and was a security guard at Anheuser-Busch and at Tri-County Mall. He was a member of the Acoustic Music Association of Central New York and played guitar with the local band the Misfits. He was a member of the Civilian Conservation Corps and a Coast Guard veteran. His wife of 60 years, the former Dorothy Youngs, died in 1996; a son, Frederick, died in 1943.

Survivors: Two daughters, Jacqueline ''Sue'' Armelino of Fulton and Beverly Nichols of Baldwinsville; a son, George R. of Baldwinsville; a brother, John ''Jack'' of Baldwinsville; 15 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren.

Services: 8 a.m. Tuesday at Falardeau Funeral Home and 8:30 a.m. in St. Mary's Church. Baldwinsville. Burial, Riverview Cemetery, Baldwinsville. Calling hours, 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home, 93 Downer St., Baldwinsville.
