Obituary

Raymond Anthony Haselmayer, 92, formerly of Baldwinsville, NY and Homosassa, FL, died Wednesday, December 31, 2008 at St Camillus. He was born in Syracuse, NY on October 19, 1916 to parents Anthony and Rose Walter Haselmayer. Ray was the original owner, with his father and brother Ed, of the Spinning Wheel Restaurant in North Syracuse. In 1946 he was the owner of Ray's Grill in Baldwinsville and in 1961, owned Club 48 in Fulton. Ray enjoyed hunting and fishing and was famous for throwing "free feeds" of Walleye, Turtle, and Moose dinners. He and Ruth retired to Florida and return each summer enjoying their camp in Cape Vincent. He recently resided with Ruth at St. Camillus.

Ray… Dad… Grandpa… we love you very much and we will miss you.

He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Ruth Haberer Haselmayer; daughter, Joan Allen, and husband Richard of Leesburg, FL; son, Gerald Haselmayer of Baldwinsville; sisters, Madeline Smoral and Dorothy Haselmayer; brother Melvin, and sister-in-law Sylvia, (previously deceased brother Edward) all from Syracuse; six grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Memorial Services: 11:00am Saturday, January 10, 2009 at Falardeau Home, 93 Downer St., Baldwinsville, NY 13027.
