Peter R. Ruel, 57, of Baldwinsville, passed away on October 10, 2003 in his home after a long struggle with cancer. He was born in Syracuse. He worked as a machinist at New Venture Gear, East Syracuse, for 17 years and was a member of the NY State Tree Growers Association.

Surviving are his wife of 33 years, Barbara Grzejka Ruel; two daughters, Brenda Ruel of Liverpool and Elaine (Ruel) Jones of Mattydale; one son, Peter Ruel, Jr. of Shippensburg, PA; one sister Mary Ann Potter of Baldwinsville; one stepbrother, David Schinnen of Baldwinsville; 7 grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Memorial Services will be 11:00am Saturday, October 18, 2003 at Falardeau Funeral Home, 93 Downer St., Baldwinsville.
