Paul M. Magill, 76, of Baldwinsville, passed away Wednesday, at home surrounded by his family. Born in Ellwood City, PA, he was employed as a computer programmer and did consulting work up and down the east coast. After stepping away from computer programming, he was employed at the MOST in Syracuse in the education department where he enjoyed helping care for animals in their exhibits and interacting with children and guests of the museum. He then took his experience with animals to work at PetSmart in later life.

He met his future wife, Muriel at a roller skating party. They literally bumped into each other on skates and the rest is history. They both attended Geneva College where he graduated with a BSBA.

He loved animals and camping and going out to eat. He was a treasurer and active supporter of Young Life for many years and was a member of Clay Community Church.

Paul was predeceased by his parents.

Surviving are his wife of 53 years, Muriel; children, Patty (Ben) Woodruff of Baldwinsville, Michael (Stacey) Magill of Remson and Heather (Ross) Fenton, Liverpool; siblings, Marie (Tim) Barada of Ohio, Mark (Judy) Magill, TN, Kim (Beth) Magill of Central Square, Dan (Kathy) Magill, Betty (Robert) Cuccaro of Harmony, PA, Boyd Magill, Evan City, PA; eight grandchildren; one great-grandchild.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, June 24 from 4 to 5:30 at the Falardeau Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow at 5:30 at the funeral home.
