Obituary

Nathan A. Broome of Baldwinsville passed away Monday evening, June 14, 2010, at Crouse Hospital at the age of 87. Mr. Broome, a native of Syracuse, was a retired truck driver for the Onondaga County Solid Waste Authority. He was also a retiree from the Teamsters Local 317. He served on the committee for the Syra "Que" Reunion for several years, and during World War II, he served as ground support for the Tuskegee Airmen.

Mr. Broome was married for 58 years to his wife Jeanne who is also deceased. He had two children: Jessica Broome-Baker (deceased) and Mark E. Broome of Syracuse. Mr. Broome has two grandchildren: Keischa Woodhouse and Bradley Baker, Jr. both residing in Tampa, FL. He is also survived by his siblings: Mickey, William, Christine, Julia and Gloria and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be Tuesday, June 22, 2010, at 11:30am at Falardeau Funeral Home, 93 Downer St. Baldwinsville, NY
