Nancy E. Hobbs, 79, of Syracuse, passed away unexpectedly on March 31, 2026, entering the presence of her Savior, Jesus Christ.

Nancy was born in 1946, in Syracuse, the daughter of the late Robert and Alice Bleich. She was a member of the last graduating class of North High School and worked for many years as a secretary with the Town of Cicero Highway Department.

Later in life, Nancy became known for her generosity, often helping others in need, especially children. She kept track of those she cared about, never forgetting a birthday or anniversary.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her grandson, Zach Haggett. Nancy is survived by her husband, David; her daughters, Lori (Gregory) Clos and Brenda (John) Haggett; step children, Kelly (Stan) Longo, Jim (Terri) Hobbs, and William Hobbs; two grandchildren, Albert (Samara) Clos, and Emily Clos; and five great-grandchildren.

The family extends a special thank you to Nancy's many friends, especially Laura Light, for the assistance that was provided to Nancy over the last few years that enabled her to remain in her home.

Calling hours will be held from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon on Wednesday, April 8, 2026, at Falardeau Funeral Home, 93 Downer St., Baldwinsville. A funeral service will follow at 12:00 noon, with burial to follow in Valley Cemetery, Syracuse.
