Michael S. Sheldon, 75 of Syracuse, went to be with the Lord on April 12, 2024.

Mike is predeceased by father (Raymond), mother (Beth Anne), and sister (Marie).

He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Sandra; children, Stephen, Jillian and Katherine (Patrick). His three beloved grandchildren, Avery, Mack, and Camille.

Mike honorably served 4 years in the US Navy and received training that led to his career in the medical field. He was employed at St. Joseph's Hospital for 18 years as a respiratory therapist. He then worked and retired from Upstate University Hospital as the director of the Pulmonary Function Lab.

Mike's family was everything to him. He absolutely adored being a Papa/Pop Pop to his grandchildren. He was an avid reader and a true animal lover. He loved the outdoors, going to beaches, kayaking, camping, riding his bike, and taking walks with his wife. He loved old cowboy movies and watching football, especially the Buffalo Bills. He had a remarkable sense of humor always telling jokes and making others laugh.

Private services were held for the family with burial in Onondaga Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
