Obituary

Michael G. Annett, 59, of Cross Lake passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on Wednesday afternoon after a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Philadelphia, PA, he grew up in Havertown, was a graduate of Lehigh University and a member of the Kappa Sigma Fraternity. Mike was a mechanical engineer working in nuclear power most of his career, most recently with the James A. FitzPatrick Nuclear Power Plant in Oswego. He always took pride in his work and in being a provider. Mike had a witty sense of humor that he shared with all.

Mike enjoyed boating, walking his dog around Cross Lake, and was an avid Philadelphia sports fan. His love of family and Philadelphia sports kept him close to Philly during his more than 30 years in Central New York.

Mike is survived by his children, Erin (Umut) Birlik, Eric Annett, and Rachel Annett of Cross Lake and their mother, A. Elizabeth Annett of Baldwinsville; parents, George and Janet Annett of Havertown, PA; sisters, Marybeth (Wesley) Schroder, of Downington, PA and Susan (Christopher) Allen of Havertown; nieces and nephews; and his beloved dog, Beatrice Louise aka, Louie or Lou Dog.

Calling hours will be held Saturday, September 23 from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Falardeau Funeral Home, 93 Downer St., Baldwinsville.

A celebration of Mike's life will be held at a later date in Delaware County, PA at the convenience of the family.

Contributions may be made to Hospice of CNY and of the Finger Lakes, 990 7th N. St., Liverpool, NY 13088
