Maureen "Molly" Engels, 86, passed away Friday at Crouse Hospital surrounded by her family. She was born in Caribou, ME to Maurice and Leola McInnis. She married her husband of 64 years, Roy Engels, lived in Norfolk, VA for 4 years, and moved to Baldwinsville where they raised their 6 children. After her children were grown, she held various secretarial positions at the Baldwinsville Central School District, including the guidance office at Baker High School. She was a communicant and volunteer at St. Mary's Church in Baldwinsville for 60 years. Molly enjoyed quilting, ceramics, baking, and cooking for her family. But most of all, she treasured time with her family.
Molly is survived by her husband, Roy Engels; children, Michael Engels (Gabrielle) of Baldwinsville, Patrick Engels (Amy) of Hamilton, OH, Timothy Engels (Kim) of Baldwinsville, Terence Engels (Karen) of Baldwinsville, Maureen Engels Bischoff (David) of Fairport, NY, and Kathleen Engels Mattison (Jim) of Easton, PA; brothers, Bill and Bob (Vanessa) McInnis both of Cohocton, NY; 20 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
Calling hours are 4-6 pm Tuesday, August 10 at Falardeau Funeral Home, 93 Downer St., Baldwinsville. A Mass of Christian Burial is 10 am Wednesday, August 11 at St. Mary's Church, Syracuse St., Baldwinsville. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery in Baldwinsville.
