Mathew L. Bernard, 84, of Baldwinsville, passed away Monday, August 18, 2008 at his home. He was born in Franklinville, NY, was an Army Veteran of WWII and moved to Baldwinsville in 1951. He worked for International Multifoods for 36 years and retired in 1987. He was a charter member of the Baldwinsville Knights of Columbus Council 5082 and was a communicant of St. Mary's Church in Baldwinsville.

Survivors: his wife of 59 years, Katherine L.; two daughters, Kathy L. (Robert) Phillips of N. Syracuse and Kristen L. Harroun of Baldwinsville; three sons, Mark L. (Deb D'Aprix) of Fulton, Monte L. of Spokane, WA and Martin L. (Denise Wolniak) of Phoenix; two sisters, Mary Kobus and Helen Lang both of Kenmore, NY; 7 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Services: 10:30am Friday, August 22, 2008 at Falardeau Funeral Home, Baldwinsville and 11:00am at St. Mary's Church, Baldwinsville. Burial, St. Mary's Cemetery, Baldwinsville. Calling hours are 4-7pm Thursday, August 21, 2008 at the funeral home, 93 Downer St.
